These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of Asmara (the "App"), developed and operated by Astel AI ("we", "our"), by merchants who install it on their Shopify store ("you", "merchant"). By installing or using Asmara, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Asmara generates marketing captions, images, and videos for your products using third-party AI models and media services. You remain responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it, including for accuracy, brand fit, and compliance with applicable laws and Shopify's policies.
Asmara's caption, image, and video generation features depend on third-party AI and media providers that we do not operate or control. Because of this, we do not offer a dedicated uptime or performance Service Level Agreement (SLA) for these features. Generation may be delayed, degraded, or temporarily unavailable if a third-party provider experiences an outage, rate-limits us, changes their models or pricing, or discontinues service. We work to restore functionality as quickly as possible when this happens, but we cannot guarantee a specific resolution time. We recommend not relying on Asmara as your sole means of producing time-sensitive marketing content.
Paid plans are billed through Shopify's billing system according to the pricing shown in the app. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the Plan & Billing page inside the app.
You agree not to use Asmara to generate content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or that violates Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy or the policies of the third-party providers we rely on. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe the App is being used to generate this kind of content.
You own the product information you submit and the marketing content Asmara generates for you, subject to the underlying rights of the product images and information you provide. We do not claim ownership over generated content.
Asmara is provided "as is" and "as available." AI-generated content may be inaccurate or unsuitable for your use case, and we do not warrant that generation will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astel AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Asmara, including losses related to service interruptions caused by third-party providers described above.
You can uninstall Asmara at any time from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. Data handling upon uninstall is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms as Asmara's features change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
